Meet Trainer Miles
The owner of Forge Fitness
Coach Miles has been in the world of fitness for 17 years and established Forge Fitness and a hands-on trainer 10 years ago.
His two favorite athletic achievements since starting are winning Jiu Jitsu tournaments, hitting a 500lb Zercher squat and recently learning to backflip!
Miles says that his biggest struggles in the gym are eating enough food and time management.
His biggest piece of advice:
Find someone really good to learn from. You’ll save years of effort, money and discouragement
Meet Coach Steph
One of the fitness coaches here at Forge!
Steph has been here for almost 5 years now and has been in the fitness world for 9 years.
Her two favorite athletic achievements are:
Her accomplishments in powerlifting as well as her bounce back from injuries.
Steph says her biggest struggle in the gym would be finding the time for herself.
Her best piece of advice:
Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Or anyone else’s progress with your own. Look at your journey as your own and celebrate the small stuff more than the big stuff!
Meet Trainer Omar
One of the coaches here at Forge Fitness!
Omar been at forge for 2.5 years.
He has been in the fitness world for 11 years now.
This is what Omar says about his 2 biggest accomplishments: I’ve competed in bodybuilding after always being a “big boy” a bit on the chubby side. Got down to 7% body fat. Another cool achievement was deadlifting 500lbs.
Omar says his biggest struggle is body dysmorphia and never being satisfied.
His best piece of advice:
Consistency is king. When life happens the important thing is to keep going, everything you do in the gym adds up. Every set, rep, and weight lifting. Learn the importance of delayed gratification.
Meet Trainer Jazzy,
One of the coaches here at Forge!
Jazzy has been at Forge for 4 months and counting.
Jazzy says: “I’ve always been an athlete throughout high school but started taking strength training seriously in college about 4 years ago and started powerlifting 2 years ago.”
Her favorite athletic achievements are placing 22nd out of 78 at collegiate nationals 2024 and hitting 402lbs on deadlift.
Jazzy says her biggest struggle in the gym is finding a way to keep showing up on days when I have no motivation.
Her best piece of advice:
My best piece of advice is that strength training isn’t just for men. Women can be strong while being feminine, and confidence is empowering!
Meet Trainer Devin!
One of the OG trainers of Forge Fitness.
I’ve been training at Forge for almost 6 years and started training when I was obtaining my Master’s in Exercise Science from WSU.
Two of my favorite athletic achievements would be becoming a lululemon ambassador and competing in the OCR World Championship.
My biggest struggle in the gym is trying to balance/manage time and not overtrain as well as making sure to put an emphasis on warming up/recovery.
His biggest piece of advice:
My advice to someone just starting would be to realize we all have to start somewhere and to not compare yourself to others. There are many different paths to fitness so don’t be afraid to explore. What works for one person may not work for everyone and the key is to be CONSTANT.
